Addicted to Books & Digiscrapping

Well sorry to be MIA for a while but Tasha's cold turned out to be the 'flu and she spent a week off school. I was off work for most of the time to be with her. But that should leave plenty of time for scrapping and blogging, right? WRONG! Poor little poppet just wanted Mummy to be with her all the time. I was awful to see her so limp and sick, she is usually such an active little thing and hardly ever stops but the 'flu really knocked her around. Bella was wonderful the whole time and even graciously said she didn't need to go out to dinner on her birthday because Tasha was so sick! What a girl! Yes, my eldest baby is now a fabulous 11 year old! Pinch me someone! Where did that time go? She had a wonderful day, I made cake and she got lots of attention and gifts (thanks everyone!). She had a bowling party on Saturday with a few of her friends and had a great time! Oh and I promise I will post some photos and details soon. Until then ..... I leave you with this lovel...

It's funny isn't it? Life is like that? First ups then downs and then ups again, a great big roller coaster ride. Scrapping is like that too. Natalie has decided to retire - it is something she really needs to do and I wish her the very best of luck as she steps back to spend more time with her gorgeous boys. At the moment she is having an outrageous sale at both PBP and CLD so if you have ever hankered for some Natalie Bird designs now is the hour before they are gone for good. Since deciding to retire Natalie has been creating some truly wonderful pages, as if her joy in the art form has come back and I am so very happy for her. And don't for any moment think that this is the end of Ms Natalie! Oh no, one day she will be back and I will be there stalking....... err........ supporting her again LOL! Oh and now that she isn't designing any more Natalie has a great new blog too and if you pop over you MIGHT find a great freebie LOL Needless to say this left a hole in m...

For any "non-scrapping" friends and family that might be reading, a TOOT, is something you say when you have something to show off about or brag about hahahaha, you know, like blowing your own horn LOL. I was so surprised and thrilled to be picked and to have an opportunity to show off Natalie's great products on the front page of one of the coolest scrapping sites around for a whole week. I followed a link at Pickleberrypop made by the lovely Sonia to this fun site called Wordle that makes totally fun word clouds. And because it is my darling hubby and my 18th Wedding Anniversary today I made this Word Cloud there using two of Shakespeare's sonnets "Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day" and "Let us not to the marriage of two minds admit impediment" : He is my best friend, my companion, my rock, my love, he lifts me up when I'm down, and walks beside me on our journey through life, he is the loving father of my children and the keeper of my heart - he is my Tony. I love you to bits babe! Ok enough mushy stuff ROFL, I have to let you know that since taking the blood pressure medication I have not had a twinge of a migraine, not one little twitch! How cool is that? It has taken nearly two weeks to get used to the medication though and I have felt very tired and sleepy but now I'm feeling lots better and I can manage to get through mo...

LOL it has only been a fortnight but it seems like AGES since I was last here! Well I am not sure if I have mentioned the nasty migraines I have been having over the last four months, but I nearly had a bingle in my car two weeks ago on the way to work because a migraine hit while I was driving. I had to pull over into a park and wait for the flashing, zig zagy nightmare to finish and then I carefully drove home. I had had enough by this stage and I went to the doctors to see if she could help. So after some tests, I find out I'm anemic and I have high blood pressure which I'm not sure has anything to do with the migraines but never mind, and so now I am on little pink pills daily! yay! Oh and I have to keep a diary of my migraines too LOL. So fingers crossed these pills will help keep the nasty migraines away and the nasty blood pressure down ROFL :) In other more exciting news Tasha has finally lost her first top tooth! Thank heavens! Well it is the June school holidays here at the moment and the girls are spending a lot of time with Mum, they have cooked and shopped, and gone to the museum and the art gallery but they still complain when they have to go out anywhere, I think that they miss the playstation and the computer hahahaha. It is a real pain working while the kids are on holidays but I am so lucky I have my Mum and Step Dad to look after the girls for me! Love ya to bits Ma! Mwah! So we decided to go to Hervey Bay to visit hubby's Mum & Step Dad last weekend as we had to bail last time because of colds and stuff. We left Friday night after I finished work for a change and I don't think we will be doing that again for a while LOL. We didn't get in to Hervey Bay until 10.15pm and poor MIL and FIL were waiting patiently for us to get there (they normally go to bed at 8pm).
