Busy busy busy .....

Things have been happily tooting along here at my place .. work..home..kids..scrap .. the usual. We just finished the school holidays and the kids are struggling a little to get back into the swing of things - knowing my luck they will just get themselves sorted and they will be back on holidays for the September break lol. But apart from that everything is going really well. Pippi is settling in nicely and it feels like we have had her with us always. We do have a couple of small issues with her but that is to be expected with a rescued dog - she suffers from separation anxiety, she is very aggressive towards other dogs (little dog syndrome) and she has food issues - but apart from that she is the most adorable loving little dog you ever did see. She has hubby wrapped firmly around her little paw! She has some cute bling now with her name and phone number on it and she is now FINALLY registered with the local council (thats a whole other story!). Here are a couple of recent photos of...

Alway be with me Credits - here In other scrapping news Deb and I were thrilled to discover that we were allowed to register late after we discovered the ADSR season 5 team nominations had closed - Ernie and Theresa were kind enough to throw open the gates to us after they discovered that a number of people had lost touch with the site after the "troubles". So now Deb and I are racing once more in our fourth season of the Amazing Digital Scrapbooking Race so stay tuned as I struggle to cope with crazy deadlines, tricky challenges and a partner that lives across the globe while having a BLAST at the same ...

Project 365 Week 5

Image
Wow it has been just crazy around my place this last week! Going back to work for me wasn't as bad as I thought it might be and I was actually happy to be back!! The kids are getting their routines sorted out although Tasha needs to work on the fact that year 3 has more homework than she is used to, but I am confident that things will settle down. She is now learning Piano with Bella's old Piano teacher and seems to really enjoy it and on Wednesdays she now does tennis after school Bella's netball team made the semi finals and the girls were just thrilled! The coaches are pretty excited too and say we have a good chance to bring it home this year - that remains to be seen but I am thrilled for Bella - to get to the Semies in her first season of Netball. Her playing has really improved with the support and encouragement of her great coaches! So you can see it has been all go but in between all that running around I managed to finish my week 5 P365 and do a couple of pages f...

2010 with a bullet

Image
LOL I don't suppose there would be many people who read my blog who remember the old eighties LPs like 1980 with a bullet, sorry that was inspiration for a post title today for some reason? I feel a little silly today. That could be because I have loads to do before we head off for our annual beach escape and its making me a bit crazy-loco! I have to finish getting the girls ready for school and their books all covered, I have to make my list for the coast so I don't leave anything behind, I have to pack, I have to take my P365 photo for today and tidy up because my SIL is arriving for an over night visit on her way back up to Townsville! Eeek I might just sit here for a minute and breath and relax a little bit .................... ahhhhh. OK before I race off and tackle the list I want to share with you my first two pages of my 2010 P365 as I resolved to do (see I'm a good girl aren't I?). I am filled with enthusiasm for the project again mainly due to my friend Carol...

ADSR final challenge!

Image
Well I guess all good things must come to an end and the ADSR has finally wound up for 2009. I enjoyed myself lots, scrapped outside of my comfort zone on occasion and spent some quality msn time with my bestest bloggy pal Deb, what more can anyone ask for! So Deb and I decided to go ahead and do Challenge #13 even though it was an optional challenge because we didn't really want the race to end. Challenge 13 was hosted by NDISB and had to be a two page LO with a list of requirements - here is mine! Love Credits are here Well that's it for another year so it's back to my usual CT scrapping schedule and getting back into being more help over at PBP as I have been sadly slack recently. Oh and I have to tell you it is now day two of my Low Card High Protein Diet and I am actually not feeling hungry at all which is unusual for me, normal when i hear the word Diet I feel hungry! I have found it hard to make up a protein rich breakfast in the small amount of time I have in the m...

And here I go ....

Image
Well I have made a start on my first resolution and I have been taking my photo-a-day. I am probably only going to post on Sundays though because it is a bit of a pain uploading the photos daily blah blah blah so I thought that once a week is plenty. It's pretty quiet here on Sundays so I am hoping that this will be a good time to post the weeks photos. I am going to use the gorgeous photo frames from Deb's fabulous 365 Challenge over at Pickleberrypop - if you like them you can get them too by going here or clicking on the image :) So here are my first four days for my Project 365 - I hope I can make the distance this time. As to the other parts of my new Years resolutions I have to say i am off to a pretty good start there too. I spent some time on the phone to one of my girlfriends which resulted in me going out to see the Twilight movie with her for a nice girls time (with our eldest girls but that is ok). I LOVED the movie and I really can't wait for the rest of them ...

Is it wrong?

Image
Well.............IS it wrong to waste the quiet time you have been given by your family going away for a few days by either sitting in front of your computer or watching movies? Seriously Mum and I only made it through the first two extended Lord of the Rings movies (Nearly 7.50 hours of movies magic!!) yesterday before we collapsed from exhaustion LOL! But itsn't it funny that when they (the kids and hubby) are here all I want is some peace and quiet to do what ever I like but when I CAN do whatever I like I just don't know what to do with myself! But I DO know I am sure as heck not doing any housework LOL - thank heavens for msn otherwise I would be lonely as well as bored ha ha. Thanks for saving me from my own company Deb LOL! With New Year fast approaching I have been fiddling around thinking about resolutions for next year and I have decided that I might try to do the Project 365 again. I know I struggled early on into it this year but I noticed that while I was doing ...

The hair - not the beautiful hair!

Image
You know no one told me that the second child would be much more stubborn and insistent than the first one. My first child is usually biddable and will usually do what she is told but the second child delights in questioning everything and down right saying "NO!". The second child knows her mind and no amount of sweet reason will change her mind once it is set on something! My darling Tasha, she of the golden hair, my second child! She decided a few months ago that she would like to have her hair cut - she's 6 and she has had nothing more than a light trim since the day of her first hair cut. She wanted it off to the shoulders! Now I consider myself a reasonable woman but when it comes to her hair I probably have ummm separation issues LOL. So when she first asked I told her I would think about it if she still wanted it done the next time our hair dresser came around, as I assumed that it was just a phase and she would forget all about it. No such luck! She remembered a...

A quick post on the go

Image
Well sorry to be MIA for a while but Tasha's cold turned out to be the 'flu and she spent a week off school. I was off work for most of the time to be with her. But that should leave plenty of time for scrapping and blogging, right? WRONG! Poor little poppet just wanted Mummy to be with her all the time. I was awful to see her so limp and sick, she is usually such an active little thing and hardly ever stops but the 'flu really knocked her around. Bella was wonderful the whole time and even graciously said she didn't need to go out to dinner on her birthday because Tasha was so sick! What a girl! Yes, my eldest baby is now a fabulous 11 year old! Pinch me someone! Where did that time go? She had a wonderful day, I made cake and she got lots of attention and gifts (thanks everyone!). She had a bowling party on Saturday with a few of her friends and had a great time! Oh and I promise I will post some photos and details soon. Until then ..... I leave you with this lovel...

Because I love you......

Sometimes I just feel like doing a page just because.................. because I can, because I want to, because I love you. Credits here Love you both mwah mwah

Eeeek - it's Tuesday!

Image
How did it get to be Tuesday so fast? One minute it was Friday and then BAM - it's Tuesday! It's very strange and now I am so behind on my posting it's not funny! On the plus side I have been VERY slack with my 365 photos so I haven't got a lot to post about hahahaha! On the home front, the girls have returned to school (horray!) and while Natasha's initial enthusiasm for Grade 1 has waned slightly, they are both happy to be back with their friends. Tasha thinks her teacher is the best teacher in the WHOLE world, and Bella loves her class and her new teacher is the totally awesome (apparently) Mr M&M (as the kids are calling the poor man). The funniest thing is that they are straight into homework and activities and the kids - especially Tasha! - are NOT impressed LOL! Oh and here are my cuties on their first day back at school! Don't they look so grown up *sniff*? Here is Tasha in her Grade 1 classroom all ready to go before the gloss wore off LOL! I love ...

Happy New Year!

Image
Ok! Ok I know that it's the 4th already but, what can I say, I'm a bad blogger. I hope that you all had a wonderful New Year. It was way too wet and windy to go to the fireworks this year so we had a lovely quiet one over at a friend's place, chatting, nibbling and drinking coffee. So Christmas ….. We had a lovely time in Hervey Bay, the weather was wet and windy but that is certainly better than hot and steamy that is for sure! It was wonderful for hubby to spend time with his sisters and brother as it has been well over twenty years since they were all together at Christmas. Daphne (my mother in law) was in seventh heaven with all her children and grandchildren around her and at the last moment the Hospital allowed Ron (my father in law) home for the day, so we were all together. What a wonderful day. I missed my Mum though :) The whole Clan! The kids were spoilt but not too terribly, I couldn’t get them everything they wanted this year but they were very happy with wha...

hellllloooooo!

Image
I have been taking advantage of the peace and quiet around here and I have done a little bit of scrapping LOL. The kids are nice and rested now and are at the stage where they will need entertaining soon so I won't have as much time to laze around creating LOs! So anyway I'm enjoying it while I can - which is good because Natalie has been putting out a few awesome little goodies for me to play with. And here is the LO I did with it for my Dad (told you didn't I Dad LOL!) Another new goodie is the Live your Life mini - And this is my darling Bella having a good laugh on the Chair Ride at the Brisbane Ekka this year! Credits for both LO are everything by NATALIE BIRD (except the Sanded Edge Action by Atomic Cupcake) Well anyway I have to go - I'm visiting my friend Kelly and her lovely new little baby boy (mmmm I love babies - oh and Kelly LOL) and I have a few things to do before I leave. So hugs to you all and I'll chat soon! Ta ta.

A day with Prep!

I spent the day with Tasha's Prep class today and they have worn me out! I am now officially a shattered husk of a woman and I can't BELIEVE that I put my name down for EVERY Tuesday until the end of school! I must be crazy! Seriously it was exhausting but I had the best day. The kids recorded a couple of songs for the Chrismas CD that the school is putting out this year and they were so well behaved and even though the auditorium was hot they did a wonderful job! Tasha just loved having me at school and gave me kisses and hugs every time she passed me. I must have been hugged about a hundred times by all the kids today, it's a good thing I'm chubby otherwise I would have bruised ribs. I also got to see my eldest daughter playing Tiggy in the school yard having a great old time. It was lovely to see her racing around laughing her head off because she is such a serious little thing most of the time :). BTW - yesterday was my brother's 39th birthday. I sent him a birt...

Just wanted to share

Image
Hi there my family & friends I really just wanted to share a LO that I did tonight of my hubby and I. The photo is ghastly and out of focus but I grunged it up with an Urban Acid Action to give a bit of ompfh. I had to use it because it is one of the rare photos ever taken of just the two of us (that happens a lot when you have kids LOL). I was feeling all lovey tonight and I was thinking of the things that have changed over the twenty-two years that we have been together and smiling over the one thing that hasn't - Love. So I'll leave you with it, I'm not posting it anywhere else so the credits are everything by Christina Renee . Nighty, night!

Hi there!

It has been a little while since I last blogged because real life has been so very busy up until now! I finally finished work on Friday and it was a lovely, sad day. Everyone made a fuss and I felt very loved and very sad to go - after all I had been there for eleven years (but I still went LOL). My FIL is still in ICU after his surgery and we are taking my dear MIL up there daily to sit with him. The whole business is so very exhausting for everyone and my poor MIL is worn out with worry and stress. But sadly, all we can do at the moment is be there for them both, that is what families are for. I wish I could find my mojo (has anyone seen it around???) as I would love to do a scrap for my MIL of my FIL in his bowls rig but when I sit down at the computer I find myself staring off into space. So if you see my mojo lying around please return to sender OK! Well I had best get back to staring off into space as it is nearly time to pick up the kids from school...... ta ta for now ......

Abbey Medieval Festival

Image
On the 7th July we all went to the Abbey Medieval Festival as we have done for the last couple of years. It is always a great day out and I love seeing everyone dressed up in "ye olde" costumes! I, of course, wouldn't dress up if you paid me, but the girls wore costumes this year made by my talented Mum (which were gorgeous) so I thought that I would pop in a couple of photos for you...... Vintage Frames by Nancy Comelab Well that is me finished for another day ... work tomorrow so I had best get to bed (sigh!)
